Programs
We want to do stuff that’s fun and promotes caring for neighbors and the earth. Honestly, these programs begin with us wondering “Wouldn’t it be cool if…” Thanks to God for making these ideas happen!
Adopt-a-Street cleanup - we’ve adopted SW 5th Ave in Gainesville, running from 13th St. to Main St. It’s a neat way to serve our neighbors through God’s love. And it’s just a fun thing to do with friends on a cool Saturday morning. So far, we’ve done cleanups on 10/16/06, 12/16/06, 3/24/07, 4/28/07, 7/21/07, and 8/12/07.
Gator Wiilympics - a Wii Sports tournament to benefit Invisible Children. The first one was held April 7, 2007 at North Central Baptist Church in Gainesville. It was a great success as everyone had a fun time and $215 was raised for Invisible Children. We’re currently planning another one this fall in Gainesville.
Alumination - our new program to show Christians how good aluminum can recycling is and how much good it can do.
